Northeast Wisconsin Land Trust is a 22-year-old, member-supported conservation organization whose mission is to "preserve lands that protect the waters, landscapes, and natural habitats of northeast Wisconsin."
Northeast Wisconsin protects the largest freshwater estuaries in the world and is home to more than 50% of Lake Michigan's remaining wetlands. The health and integrity of our water is dependent on the long-term health of the Bay of Green Bay, and on efforts to reduce or prevent pollution from reaching its rivers. To address this need, the Land Trust conserves land that protects our waterways and wetlands, especially in critical areas of Green Bay's West Shore and the Lower Fox River. As a member-supported nonprofit, we rely on the goodwill and generosity of northeast Wisconsin communities, including Green Bay, to help us protect more important lands, waters, and wildlife--and we hope you'll consider joining us!
